A walk-off left Oxford Lady Jackets on the wrong end of a 7-5 defeat to Lincoln on Tuesday.

The game was tied at five with Lincoln batting in the bottom of the seventh when Goolsby homered on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

Oxford Lady Jackets lost despite out-hitting Lincoln ten to six.
Lincoln took an early lead in the first inning when an error scored one run for Lincoln.

Lincoln knotted the game up at five in the bottom of the sixth inning. Greene drew a walk, scoring one run.

After Oxford Lady Jackets scored two runs in the top of the second, Lincoln answered with two of their own.

Oxford Lady Jackets scored when Sarah Howell homered on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs. Lincoln then answered when an error scored one run for Lincoln and Smith singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Aliison led the Lincoln to victory in the circle. She lasted seven innings, allowing ten hits and five runs while striking out four.

Cohlee Boone took the loss for Oxford Lady Jackets. She allowed four hits and five runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out two.

Oxford Lady Jackets socked three home runs on the day. Howell had a homer in the first and second innings. Takya Garrett had a long ball in the fifth inning.

Oxford Lady Jackets racked up ten hits. Riley Rhodes, Dee Wilson, and Howell all collected multiple hits for Oxford Lady Jackets. Howell, Wilson, and Rhodes each collected two hits to lead Oxford Lady Jackets.

Aliison led Lincoln with two hits in three at bats. Lincoln didn’t commit a single error in the field. Goolsby had 13 chances in the field, the most on the team.
